Tejanas at the Alamo: Conduits of Remembrance
Tejanas at the Alamo: Conduits of Remembrance examines…
the vital yet frequently underrepresented contributions of Tejana women to the history and legacy of the Alamo. Through a combination of historical artifacts, narratives, and interpretive materials, the exhibition explores how memory is preserved, transmitted, and reshaped across generations. By centering Tejana voices, the exhibition reframes dominant historical narratives and invites viewers to consider the Alamo as a site of layered cultural identity, remembrance, and storytelling.
