two-day, interactive program introducing participants to the historic cyanotype process—one of the earliest forms of photography. As part of the Spring Break Art Extravaganza, the workshop invites participants to explore the intersection of art, science, and nature through the creation of sun-exposed prints.
Using UV light and natural materials such as flowers and plants, participants create vivid blue-and-white compositions while learning about the origins of photography and light-sensitive processes. Emphasizing experimentation and play, the workshop encourages participants of all ages to engage with photographic image-making in a tactile, accessible way, transforming organic forms into striking visual prints.

CONTRIBUTION: Designed and led Cyan-Sational Spring Workshop: Explore the Blueprints of Photography, a two-day, hands-on cyanotype workshop as part of the museum’s Spring Break Art Extravaganza, introducing participants to alternative photographic processes through nature-based image-making.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Developed and facilitated a two-day curriculum on cyanotype photography; instructed participants on the history and technique of the cyanotype process; guided hands-on creation of UV-exposed prints using natural materials such as flowers and foliage; managed workshop setup, materials, and safety; fostered an engaging, family-friendly learning environment; adapted instruction for a wide range of ages and skill levels; supported participant creativity through demonstration and one-on-one guidance.
